MICHAEL J. MINARDI has 45 successful years as one of this nation's leading photographers. He did action color still photography for the National Football League (NFL) for over 25 years. He was one of three Mentors for the Eastman Kodak Company giving lectures and seminars all over the country to professional photographers for years. He is a pioneer in digital photography, and winner of many awards for his photography and photojournalism. He traveled in most countries in South America for Eastern Airlines. Minardi was a combat photographer for the United States Marine Corps at HQ USMC winning Marine Photographer of the Year in 1988. After the Marine Corps, he graduated from Defense Information School (DINFOS) at Ft. Meade, Maryland and served in the U.S. Army's 29th MPAD as a combat Liaison Press Officer in the war zone of Kosovo where he won Military Photographer of the year in 2004. He now specializes in Fine Art and Stock Photography and self-publishes books. He recently signed a contract with Getty Images for them to market and license his NFL images. Minardi is presently planning another book about his family's Cuban roots on his mother's side.
