The first battle of the Civil War aka The Battle between the States was re-enacted in Manassas Virginia at Bull Run Creek on 23rd of July 2011 with over 10,000 participants.

Battle of Bull Run - Stonewall Jackson Statue
A statue of Confederate General Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson on the battlefield at Bull Run. He received his nickname at the First Battle of Bull Run at Manassas, Virginia after standing through several Union attacks. He was the commander of the Army of Northern Virginia and lost an arm due to amputation after being shot. He died eight days later of complications from pneumonia.
