The first battle of the Civil War aka The Battle between the States was re-enacted in Manassas Virginia at Bull Run Creek on 23rd of July 2011 with over 10,000 participants.

Battle of Bull Run - The Red Shirt Sickles Brigade
The Michigan men of the Sickles Brigade wore red shirts.
The soldiers of the "Lafayette Light Guard" were provided by the "Ladies of Schoolcraft" with uniforms of red flannel shirts and blue trousers. Headgear was a M1839 style cap.
This is the reenactment of the 150th anniversary of the First Battle of Bull Run in Manassas, Virginia.
